I not only had a great interview today, for an office that is hiring THREE people (and I qualify for each position), but it was for a department that I wouldn't mind working for. First 5 California Children & Families Commission.
sounds a lot better than saying I work for the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. or the Department of Toxic Substances Control.
both of which I have to apply to this week. but I sure don't mind telling them that I'd rather not work for them.

That's great Brittney! First 5 sponsors a lot of billboards (in Spanish) in our neighborhood. I've always been curious about it! How did the interview go?
It's true the other two are a little extra not so much fun...but, you never know!

First 5 funds counties to provide high quality preschool for anyone who wants it, as well as educating parents and teachers on health and education for young kids. The idea is to try to help all kids start school with good health and a jump on the skills they'll need to succeed.
The interview went really well! I liked the office a lot, and I thought they liked me - they said they'd be calling back second interviews next week . . .
