connotations

our sunday school class has been working through Ephesians, and we got to chapter 5 today.

And further, you will submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. (v.21)

I've been thinking about that. I don't like submitting to people who aren't smart or experienced or have obvious authority over me . . .

I don't like thinking of the word "submissive" to describe me.

but I do want to be like Christ. hard to reconcile it all.
